Really cool though it's irksome they left out the requisite flaming tire tracks.

Did you watch to the end? The effect when you're not in the car does have the flaming skidmarks, and the tires were trailing flames even when inside the car.

Earphones for your Nose, Music for your Mouth
Well, it works, but apparently there's a little bit of a trick to it - there's a natural tendency for the soft palate to close off communication between the nose and the mouth when the mouth is open, so you have to get a "feel" for what's going on back there. Even when it was working, the effect wasn't as pronounced as shown in the video, though admittedly I didn't ram the buds too far up there. I'd guess it probably works better for people with a lower Mallampati score.

Al Gore on Climate Change: "Going To Start Acting Crazy"
"I'm going to start acting crazy." :-|

Gore's at his best when he plays off his "unfunny" image.
Anybody remember his version of the Macarena? "Wanna see it again?"

Al Gore, Bob Dole - what is it about failed presidential bids that brings out the humor in these stodgy old white guys?

^ Geordie, someone from newcastle. Newcastle girls are jokingly seen as, well, a bit rough.

So the American equivalent would be, "They told me she was from Jersey."

What if Earth had rings like Saturn?
Sounds like there's some speculation about the effect of the ring's shadow.
Do we know anything about how the shadow of Saturn's ring behaves in this regard?

Lock Detects Secret Knock
>> ^quantumushroom:
This is way less complicated than carrying a .00000000001 pound key.

That was my initial thought.

However, one potential benefit would be the complete removal of external lock components, though I suspect many more locks are defeated by breaking the doorframe than by picking.

Obviously, it's not designed to be a practical device, but I'm still racking my brain trying to come up with practical uses. Perhaps if it were set to "lock only", it would allow someone to lock up after they left.

Buckets and balls
Y'know, I still feel bad for that walrus, but I not longer bear any resentment for they who did stolen his bucket.
