Fissionchips, VideoSift's Borg Little Pony, just got his diamond, so now he will assimilate us all. With flowers and rainbows. Assimilation has never been so cute!

I cross posted this to the Science channel because let's face it, anyone with a screen name of "fissionchips" must be a science geek. He even states in his profile that he likes to post science videos (among other things). In other words, he's a NERD! NERD ALERT!! NERD ALERT!!

But that's okay, because we like nerds in these parts. Now some call us geeks instead of nerds because they see a distinction, but it's all the same to me. And even though fissionchips is a nerd, he has given us a lot more than just nerdy stuff. He's the one who posted the happy Haitian weatherman, and let Ernie and Bert rape our souls. As you can see, he's more than a one trick little pony. (He he.)

He's been here for close to two years now, so he's another old-timer. Speak up so he can hear your congratulations. Also feel free to raid his PQ (sorted from highest to lowest votes).

Give it up for Mr. Chips, a dandy guy, a dandy sifter, and a dandy little cybernetic pony (even though I admit that my attempt to make a Borg Little Pony actually looks more like a dominatrix pony. Oh well, there's nothing that fissionchips can do about it. Ha!)

What you don't know is that fissionchips killed his evil twin, fusionfries. Here you all are saying 'congratulations, you are the best' and 'I want to turn your bath water into perfume', meanwhile what about fusionfries?

I was watching "A Fissionchips Called Wanda," and I started thinking, "You know who would have been great in this movie? Laurence Fissionchipsburne."

After finishing the movie, I decided to read to my kids before putting them to bed. They just love that book "One fissionchips, two fissionchips, red fissionchips, blue fissionchips," by Dr. Seuss.

After tucking in the kids, I spent most of the night reading a Douglas Adams tome. My favorite line?

"So long, and thanks for all the fissionchips."

I've been eying a sustainability channel, which would get the 'eco' tag as Dag has suggested. My only concern is that it would overlap with Humanitarian. What say you all?

i say that if you can think of a clip, that would belong to one channel but not the other, you're good to go.

it's easy to think of clips that would be Humanitarian, but not Eco. anything that's about mankind bettering itself, but not in a directly ecological way. like this.

harder to imagine a clip that's Eco, without being particularly Humanitarian. but for instance, if a company comes out with a more environmentally-friendly product. well, they're not doing it for primarily humanitarian reasons. they expect profit, and well they should. such as, Glade introducing aerosols without CFCs.
here's another great example.

Sustainability would be a great choice for a new channel..
& ask dag to run the channel (or even better, the whole site:)) on an energy efficient server running on sustainable energy..
(BTW: I don't know the specs of the current VS server and its energy sources)
