Congresswoman Giffords talks about Palins gun crosshair pic

quantumushroom says...

Who here is responsible for returning ancient sifts like this to the top of the queue, in order to join the lamestream media in trying to pin the murderous actions of a lone, mentally-ill vermin on Sarah Palin, the Tea Party or the Right?

You're better off with a different approach. Seriously.

It's Mr. Blow Up

cybrbeast says...

This clip is a joke/TV comedy/mockumentary thing right? I can't find anything on Mr Blow Up from a real source like an article or his own website, just blogs and repostings of this clip. That is unless this guy sold www.mrblowup.com to an ad spam site.

Either way it's hilarious

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I don't have have that problem because I consider it to be as "real" as the documentary called The Office. If you take it in the mockumentary style everything is fine.

^ That's my issue with it.. if it were presented as a sketch, then it'd be funny. But it's meant to be thought of as real. And that shits me.

Star Wars: Battle of Hoth -- A Mockumentary

Protecting a people...and their property

The Spike Lee-financed "mockumentary" CSA is five tons of crap in a two-ton crate.

Being talentless (and the American people uneducated about their own history) Lee can only play up slavery, an already-dying institution when the Civil War began. It would've been more fascinating to see what a government that respected States' Rights would have done, since the gigantic federal dictatorship the South fought against has come to pass.

Two questions on multipart videos (Howto Talk Post)

gwiz665 says...

It's allowed to do it in several sifts, but it's good form to make a playlist and do a single sift with the whole thing.

if the sum is greater than 10 min, and it's a playlist, it should be marked long. If it's in several individual sifts of 9:59 or less, it should not.

Old movies, documentaries/mockumentaries, in general obscure movies are completely allowed. The rule is mainly there to not turn videosift into hulu, ie. not the newest simpsons, lost, heroes etc. episodes and not movies that are running in the cinema like, right now.

I'm going with the Kaufman-esque hoax theory. According to the Internets, it's supposedly for an upcoming mockumentary he's doing with friend Casey Affleck. If so, then that's some dedication to your profession (8 months so far consistently in-character is it?).

"Baddest Man on the Planet" - Part 1 of 6

Kreegath says...

Three minutes in and they've said "the baddest man on the planet" about 20 times already. Are you sure this isn't a parody or mockumentary?
What does "the baddest man on the planet" even supposed to mean? Is he the worst? They weren't allowed to call him the best fighter on the planet?

Toyboize Are Back!

The Grand Trailer: Meet the Players

spoco2 says...

The uploder compares this film to "Best of Show" for its improvisational style

Which shows that the uploader really has no idea how Best in Show or any of the other movies by Christopher Guest work. Their style, almost entirely (with the exception of For Your Consideration) is such that it all looks like it could REALLY be a documentary. It just looks and feels like a real documentary actually happening.

This doesn't, this is all very scripted looking, flashy camera techniques, something that doesn't quite get the 'mockumentary' feel.
